Oops, it's been a long time since I've updated this journal. I had a lot of things I needed to spend my money on so there wasn't much new dolly news for awhile =)

Well, anyway, I ordered from Luts to participate in the Nanuri 07 event. I just got the e-mail from Luts that my order has shipped. It's supposed to be here the day before my birthday! Happy birthday to me!

Now I hope I don't get one of the heads that are arriving warped. I don't have a type 2 body to test the head out on so...
I wonder if it's the heat wave that is warping the heads?

My dolly wish-list is always changing. I was all ready to buy a Musedoll Ciel next but then CP released If and Shine. When I saw them I instantly thought they both looked very Yder-ish. Shine really looks like a Yder with El lips and Breakaway eyes. (This make him sound like he doesn't look like Yder at all.) If just has those big giant Yder eyes and tiny head. (Those tear ducts are huge though x_x) Oooooooooooooh I want them both! It's the first time I've seen a doll and immediately fell in love!

If will be Xandr's twin sister, Alexia (Alexandrite and Alexia haaaaaaaaaaaaahaha) and she'll have white hair and teal eyes and be the other half of the Alexandrite equation that Xandr is based off of. (For those who don't know, Alexandrite stones appear purply/red or blue/green depending on what type of lighting they are in). I want a small bust body for her... but I admit that more than half of the reason I want an MD Ciel is because I love their body sculpt, so I'm wondering how a MD body would work with a CP head?

Shine will be Xandr and Alexi's snarky older brother. I can't decide if I want him BW or NS... If they are all sibling they should all be BW, but he seems more of a NS type of guy to me. Should he have black or white hair like his siblings? What type of stone can he be named after?!?!

Mkay so this is going to sound super retarded.

There is a new-ish guy at work who honest to God looks like a Dollshe Saint. Like he really really looks like Saint. Well, actually, more like a miniature Saint, as this guy is only about as tall as me. We all know Dollshe boys, if they were real, would be like... 6' 5" or something. Crazily tall. I was actually startled when I first got a good full on look at him. It's... really creepy. He probably wonders why I stare at him... but I can't really explain to him that I think he looks like a doll.
I really wanted a Saint but now I find myself less and less attracted to him. I think it's because this kid as work is a little cock ass and everytime I see a Saint now I think of what a fucker he must be.

So yeah. I think Saint is exiting the wish list. No worries though, as Bernard, whom I previously hated, keeps catching my attention lately. I think I'd better just lay off getting any Dollshe boys until I can make up my damn mind >_>;

ancolie_soo had me over for a Christmas party recently. Being that we're both girls we of course decided that our dolls would be boyfriend and girlfriend.

Xandr's body arrived this morning. My sister lovingly placed it on top of me while I was sleeping in bed. She says I looked funny sticking my hands out from under the covers to reach for it.

So I made do with what I have and put Xandr's eyelashes in. He's finally a pretty pretty boy *_* Getting them in was... just as difficult as I imagined it would be. It would be a lot easier for me if they didn't have that gummy stuff on them. I think I need to trim them though. They reach all the way up to his eyebrows!

Rumblings about a possible Woosoo re-release.

Why oh why ;_; Why will Woosoo be released when I don't have the extra cash saved up to buy him... why does he have to be so expensive second hand? Why does the opportunity to buy him "at price" even have to exist to tempt me? Ahhhh why?! ;_;

I feel like throwing a big spoiled girl tantrum because my package wasn't in the mail today. Priority is only supposed to take 1-2 days and the girl who is sending it lives in the same state as me so it really shouldn't be taking longer than it's supposed to.

Went to my first meetup today. It was pretty neat. So many cute dolls to oggle. I spent a lot of time just looking at the dolls.

I went to Lisa's house this weekend and played with her Ying. (Why did that sound dirty?) He looks so fugly in pictures but I really liked him in person. His lip of doom isn't so huge. You know what IS huge though? His whole freakin' body!!! Everytime I see a 60cm doll all I can think is "JEESH they are huge."

... So Ying is extra huge. 10 more centimeters of huge. His hands are huge too. You know what that means ^_~

I built a light box and tested it out on Xandr's new face-up. Cost of light box: $0. I already had everything I needed! Of course, after I got the first panel of tissue paper on I immediately put my thumb through it...

Ok, so this is going to be one of those really silly dolly posts.

I'm planning on re-trying Xandrs' face-up again this weekend. Of course, it's been nice and warm all week but now that I want to go outside and spray it's going to be cold. Anyway. So I've been drawing and re-drawing his eyebrows all week. They just weren't right. So I was getting fed up and ended up trying them in a totally different spot/shape than I had been doing before. I didn't want to have an angry looking doll but I was irritated so maybe that is why they ended up "angry" eyebrows.

So when I finished the brows I held his face back from me and looked at the effect. Xandr was smiling. Yes, it sounds stupid, but there it was. A smiling Yder.
I want a smiling Yder and my little jerk was refusing to smile. When I first got him he had the typical meek Yder look and he just had a morose mood about him. Finally I give him angry eyebrows and he smiles. I guess he just wanted to be a snarky looking doll.

People talk about their dolls showing them their personalities, but for awhile I wasn't sure... I guess Xandr is just like his mommy. It takes him awhile to come out of his shell.

Now, I hope I don't screw up his face and ruin those perfect smiling eyebrows.
